Christmas at the Vincent's!

Every year, we do Christmas a little different at mom and dad's. It's all according to who has to work when, and who has to be where when. This year, we did our Christmas on Christmas Eve-Eve. It actually worked out really well! We didn't have to rush to get to anyone elses house, or rush to cram in dinner and gifts before midnight! We had the whole afternoon to fix dinner, watch movies, open gifts, and just hang out! While the boys were at the SVJ dinner Thursday afternoon, Lincoln got to hang out with the girls!

Dramaw is pretty crazy about this kid. Can you tell? The feeling is mutual...

Lincoln's gift from Uncle Nathan and Aunt Kristen. He wasn't so sure that this pony was friendly at first, but he quickly grew to love it and learned how to turn on the noises really quick! If you push one of the ears, the pony raises his head and whinnies. At one point, I was watching Lincoln and he would push that ear, the walk around and raise his head up and down to match the pony!!

Lincoln got a new sled! Little did we know we'd actually get to use it this Christmas!

He also got a new fourwheeler (Dramaw and Pap are worse than Santa Claus!) Took him a little while to figure out that HE is the one driving it! He's used to us pushing him around!

On Christmas Eve, we always go to Mammaw and Pappaw Vincent's for Breakfast, then to Mammaw and Pappaw Douglas' for dinner. We have a couple of hours in between to fix more food, then we're off again! Lincoln is the only baby at the Vincent's, but he's the youngest of several at the Douglas'. Needless to say, I managed to get more pictures at the Vincents cause there was a little less commotion!

Lincoln received his first Pillow Pal from Aunt Cherman. Man, does he LOVE that thing! He packs it around everywhere!

This picture makes me laugh. I have no idea what the faces were for, but it's funny regardless!

I can't believe it, but this is the ONLY family picture we managed! SOOO unlike us! But everyone is looking and no one has their eyes closed... It's a miracle! And little baby boy #2 is obviously trying to make his appearance too!

So much fun, but it wore Lincoln out!

We loved waking up to a big snow Christmas morning! Mom and dad got probably 4 inches at their house, and it was gorgeous! Lincoln was really checking it out!

We had to venture out and try out the new sled.

Lincoln was loving it! He got some new gloves for Christmas, but our car was SO packed, there's no way we could have found them. So, we improvised and put dads hunting gloves on!

I know I've said it before, but it's worth noting again... Lincoln LOVES this cat. It seriously was one of his first words! (Ti-Ta) If that cat would sit still, he'd cuddle it all day!

And of course we had to have some snow cream for breakfast. I know one little baby who really loved it!

We do quite a bit of driving over Christmas, and I feel so lucky that we do. Means we have lots of family that we are close enough with to want to drive to visit them all! I wouldn't change a thing, unless it was to have more time with everyone! How blessed I am to have such a wonderful family...

Christmas with the Jonas'

We sure had an exciting Christmas this year! I hope yours was great as well! I'm breaking my Christmas blogging into two different entries so as to keep from doing one REALLY long one.
We do a bit of traveling over Christmas every year, but I wouldn't trade it for a million. Especially now that Lincoln is here. I think the Grandparents/Great Grandparents really enjoy watching the babies go crazy! This year was made a little more exciting since Nanny Linkswiler has been staying at Ashley's parents house. We have really enjoyed having her around! And of course, we have Jaime this year (and from now on!!) which made it more fun too. We usually head to the Jonas' (Ashleys parents) on Christmas afternoon. Terry usually makes veggie soup, we open gifts, and watch a Christmas movie. This year, the gifting portion of the afternoon took a REALLY long time!! We never even made it around to the movie!

This was towards the end of the night (notice Lincoln's pjs and my tired face....).

Lincoln is pretty good at keeping hats on most of the time, but I have to say, I'm impressed he left this one on! But glad too! Made for some funny pictures!

And we have a walker!!

In my last post, I commented on how this poor child refuses to walk... Well, no longer... We went from walking only with the assistance of a toy (see below): To walking (and climbing) on anything he can find! Here you can see how he took a climb inside one of my bar stools and couldn't climb his way out! On December 13th, he took a few steps all on his own, and we thought "hmmm... that's interesting" and as of the 14th - the crawling was pure history! He looks a little like Frankenstein, but he's so very confident now that he is walking EVERYWHERE! It is too funny!

Even with all the walking, we are still (knock on wood) avoiding the Christmas Tree!

I didn't think he would appreciate me posting the really embarassing photos here, but on the way to take a bath was THE funniest! Watchin that little naked butt hobbling around! Ha!

We are finally as ready as we can get for Christmas! Most of our Christmas shopping was finished pretty early, just some last minute pickups here and there. Wrapping has been *impossible* when Lincoln is awake...

And I couldn't help myself. I got Lincoln this chair from Land of Nod, and I couldn't resist giving it to him early. He's really too young to care anyway right? I wondered what he would think about it, but it didn't take long to figure it out! He loves it! He has sat/climbed/jumped on this thing so much already that it has made it totally worth it.

It's a BOY! AGAIN!!

I guess it's time I started adding Baby #2 to the blog! Here's our progress so far: 15 weeks here!

18 weeks here!

20 weeks here! Halfway already!

I felt the first bit of movement pretty early this time! 11/20 (16 weeks) I started feeling a lot of movement. So much in fact, that I had to ask Dr. Foster if that was normal! I figured since it's baby #2, I probably just knew what to feel for - but Dr F seemed to think that MAYBE since I haven't gained a bunch of weight (like I had by this time last pregnancy) I could be feeling more. Ashley felt it for the first time on 12/3 (18 weeks). Seems like I was barely gaining until just the last week or so and now I DEFINATELY feel/look pregnant...

On December 7th we got to find out the sex of baby #2. We were very anxious - although I personally couldn't believe it was time to find out already! I guess with chasing a one year old around, time gets away from you! Either way, we weren't shocked with the results... We were both feeling the same way with our guess... Take a look at the ultrasound and see if you get the message:
