Sweet summertime!

Yay!! Finally time for swimsuits and cookouts! I wondered what Lincoln would think about the pool, so we started him out in a kiddie pool. Oh my goodness, did he love that thing! I think he woulda stayed in there all day!

So yesterday, I got him in the real pool. I put his lifejacket on just incase, but it was all in his face, so after a few minutes, I took it off. He was in Heaven! He was kicking and splashing like crazy! I guess the pool is a hit with this kiddo... This weekend will be our first trip to the lake, we'll see how he takes to that water...

Mom took this picture for us since I (like a dummy) forgot a Mother's Day pic. Could you not just eat him up?
Uncle Nathan really got Lincoln going by singing the "Pants on the Ground" song. I know, that's really weird... Funny thing is, it's Lincoln's favorite song. Ashley sings it to him a lot, and it just cracks him up (btw-if you work with Ash, you should get him to sing his version.... It is quite entertaining...)

Lincoln also really put on a show for Great Gran and Pap Douglas...

Ridin on Paps shoulders

Every Wednesday night is our "Girl's night" (well, not so much just "girls" anymore, now it's more like "girls night with two 7 month old boys, and a 1 year old baby girl" but thats just too long, so we'll keep it "girls night") Anywhos, poor Lincoln and Ashton just have to tolerate our gossip and girly banter. See, Lincoln is clinging to Ashton in this picture almost as to say - "Hey buddy, come on, let's break outta here!" I'm sure Lincoln will be glad to accompany dad to "Golf night" as opposed to "Girls night" when he's old enough...

Obviously this was a couple weeks ago, I just couldn't help posting because he looks SO FREAKIN BIG in this picture! I don't think he's a very chubby baby, but he sure is LONG!
At our 6 mo. visit, Lincoln was 73% weight (20 #) and 91% height (28 1/2 inches).
And we are now working on tooth #5... I can't believe it! He's like a miniature shark compared to my friend's kids!
Also, when you read someone's blog, you open yourself up to "to much information" syndrome. So, since you asked for it, I have to tell an interesting story. Yesterday morning, Lincoln pooped on the potty. That's right folks. I sat him on his potty and the grunting ensued. Yes, it was hilarious. Yes, I had to wake Ashley up to show him. Yes, I took pictures (Lincoln asked me to save those for our private album). And YES, I am certifiably nuts... But it sure is fun!

Of all days to forget to take a picture......

Thank you Leisa! You did a great job! I Love my new swing! My first bath in the sink!

In case you aren't aware, I am the girl that shows up to EVERYTHING with my camera (I usually keep at least three with me). So why, of all times, would I forget two of the three cameras, and forget to use the one that I had with me on my FIRST mothers day??? Yep, that's right.... No pictures of me with my child... Oh, sure, I have a few pictures of me, Ashley and Lincoln (not on my own camera, mind you, which would be why they aren't posted here) and I have pictures (again, not my own) of me, my mom and Lincoln.... But me and Lincoln? Noooo.... So aggravating! Anywhos.... We've had all kinds of fun things happening around here though! We now have 3 teeth, with #4 TRYING to push through. We have also learned how to bang on everything! Our new favorite toy is a plastic serving spoon... That child now babbles so much - I think we are sure in for it when real words start coming! And he rolls all over the place! He's started sleeping on his side, which is so very cute. And when he wakes up in the morning, he'll roll over to his belly and play with the ties from the bumpers. (I know, you HAVE to be a mom to realize how cute that is).

We have passed the 6 month mark. We have our check up today. Can't wait to see height and weight this time!

Lincoln and some of his buddies!
And of course, Moose...

Gotta keep this one short, I've gotta get ready while Lincoln is taking a nap or we'll never make it to the doctor on time!
Eatin a cookie with paps (not really!)A left over Easter pic! Lincoln's first trip to Patti's, he loves pork chops!
and pickles...

What a Ham!!

Well, I'm going to begin this blog by posting some of my favorite pictures since last post. I know they are rather random, but hang in there, the Easter one's are right behind these crazy pics! Look at my little baby!! Sitting up all by himself!! I think we are gonna need to put some bricks on this kid's head! How does a baby grow so fast?
I'm very sorry to bombard you with pictures this time, but when I started trying to pick my favorites.... well, what can I say? They're all my favorites!
For all you "Office" fans... This shirt was a gift from our friends, Rhanda - Andy - and Cruz.

Guess who REALLY loves bathtime!

Oh, my... You are seeing this correctly! That is TWO, count them, TWO teeth! Both in the fourth month! Is this really early or is it just me?

We definately have some "crazy hair days" around this house. I'm just glad they aren't all mine anymore!

Lunch with Nana and Papa at Old Chicago. Lincoln really loves to dine out, he's oh-so-cultured... Haha!!

Ashley and I are in the process of trying to "rennovate" our landscaping. The people who built our house obviously landscaped on their own, and now it's just a big rocky mess. We have been driving around neighborhoods trying to get ideas of what we want. The other day, we took a trip to Lowes to check out some plants and trees that may fit our ideas. This was our favorite one. What do you think?
Oh, Poor Moose... He is no longer the center of attention, he's no longer allowed to grab any toy that falls to the ground, he's no longer allowed to bark like a fool at people walking by the house, but this??? This has gone tooooo far. (I mean, really, look at that poor dog's face. Can't you just hear him saying, "Really? Really mom?")

Sweet cereal. How we love you so... It makes us all so happy!
And, now... To introduce... The funniest woman in the world... What is it about Dramaw that is soooo funny?? I'm a little jealous actually... I never get laughs like Dramaw does???
Okay, now THIS was an adventure. Our first moderately warm day of the spring, so we decide "Yay! Daffodil pictures!" I tell you what, we sat in that field bottom for nearly two hours, and I think we MAYBE got three pictures where this child is actually looking up! We ended up laying on the ground to be able to see his face! Between the flowers and the eggs in his basket, he was just too preoccupied to say "cheese."

Now this picture, I mean, how could you ever resist this face? I could literally kiss this picture it's so sweet... Seriously, look at those piggies!

Our First Easter!
(See, I told you they were down here!)
And here's the debut of our First Family Easter! What a fabulous day it turned out to be! We went to Church then had dinner at moms. We have Easter #2 at Nana and Papa's this coming weekend. Lincoln got lots of fun Easter goodies, and though he didn't get to hunt eggs, I think he still had LOTS of fun!
He was all about some Paps on Easter. Clung to him like crazy at church, and spent lots of playtime afterwards too!
The Vincent Family
Yep, his basket was big enough for him to comfortably sit in!
He sure had fun pulling all of the goodies out of that basket! (PS - Don't tell daddy I posted a picture with his bunny ears on! He didn't think they were very cute for BOYS)

Great-Grandma and Grandpa Vincent swung by over the weekend, too. Lincoln really put on a show for those two!And last but not least, Lincoln's new highchair (at Dramaw's house). He really loves to sit in his highchair and watch us buzz around the kitchen. He just yells and hollars when he needs to be noticed (cause you know, he never gets any attention...)

A growing boy!

So, this has been one exciting month! Seems like little man learns something new everyday! Our most recent accomplishment? The "fake cough." That's right, when we get really attention starved, our new thing is to cough. Gets somebody's attention every time!
We also had our four month checkup last week. Mrs Ashley (our NP) reported that he was "perfect" (like we didn't already know that!! :) ) He is now officially 17 pounds and 11 oz (which puts him at 84%) and 27 1/2 inches (which is 96% for height). We aren't really sure where the height comes from, but he sure is a tall drink of water... We are now officially "allowed" to give him cereal, and when he gets good at that, vegetables. We forgot to mention that we've been trying cereal for 3-4 weeks now.... We've even tried some peas and sweet potatoes! He's much more interested in playing with the spoon than he is eating.
Which brings me to our other new news!! We have a tooth! Those bottom two have been borderline for a week or so now, and Saturday, the right one finally decided it was time to bust loose! So, needless to say, we have had one SNOTTY boy lately (not to mention drooling like a loose spigot). And we have had a couple of moody days, thank you teeth, but overall nothing too bad.

Yesterday was our (ashley and I) two year anniversary! I mean it in a totally non-mean way (mostly :) ) but it sure seems longer than two years. But as a lady a work told me yesterday, we have had a very busy two years! Mom came up to watch the baby (as she does every Monday while I work) and stayed so Ash and I could go to dinner. Well, tooth #2 decided to give us some problems yesterday, and I believe by the time Dramaw left, she was well worn out! Thanks again Dramaw for all the help... I think we may have thrown a fit or two on Nana Saturday night as well... So, thank you too Nana for tolerating our tantrums!!
Speaking of Dramaw, I'm not sure if I've explained why we stuck with that name? If you've read any of our blogs from when Lincoln was first born, you'll remember that we were strongly against any names that sounded like "old grandma" names. Of course, Ashley made fun of any of the catchy names we came up with (like GiGi, and Noni) so, one day i was really brainstorming. For any of you who know my mother (God love her) you know that she can be mildly (wink-wink) dramatic..... So, I figured the only appropriate name would be Dramaw - and wouldn't you know, it stuck. Personally, I love it! And once she got over the fact that I would deem her dramatic (the nerve!!) she started to love it too! So now we have a dramaw and a nana... And that's our final answer!
I suppose that's long enough for today. So, enjoy the pics!
I mean. check out that sweet face.....Laughing at that silly Dramaw!I LOVE bathtime!Happy St. Patty's day!Yee Haw!!
Great grandma DouglasGreat grandpa DouglasGreat grandma and grandpa VincentBy the way, if you haven't heard of the Pioneer Woman, I highly recommend you look her up. She has a website, pioneerwoman.com. She has such a cute cute story about her life, and how she ended up the "pioneer woman" and she also has a marvelous cookbook. Though I should warn you, there's a LOT of butter in her recipes!! Definitely not low cal cooking!
These homeade cinnamon rolls will make your tongue want to slap your eyeballs!!
